12月に入りクリスマスレッスン🎄

何ヶ月も前に買ってあたためておいたChristmas SNAP card game☃︎

シンプルなゲームだけど絵柄が可愛いくて皆クリスマス気分上がる上がる🤭

イギリス発祥のゲームだからかな？🇬🇧

イギリス人パパをもつ生徒ちゃん、SNAP知ってたね🃏

 

おうちでも週一回はボードゲームやカードゲーム曜日を作りたいと思う今日この頃

ゲーム中はonly Englishにしたら

英語スイッチ入れられるかしら

 

しかしワタチ手加減なしで本気でゲームしたいんだよなー😇

(大人だけでもやりたい…)

皆さま

旅行好きですか？

国内海外問わず旅行っていいですよね

 

もちろん旅行だから遊びに行くんだけども

子どもにとっては(親にとってももちろん)

学びに溢れているその機会𓅟

 

せっかくだから学ばせなきゃというより、

彼らのときめきを一緒に楽しみたい𓅸

 

子ども達ってほんと好奇心の塊

「なんで？何これ？おもしろい！これは好き。これは嫌。」

この連続！

 

来月末お休みいただきAustraliaのSydneyとCoffs Habourに行く予定をしておりまして🇦🇺

絵本“City mazes around the world”に

Sydneyの街があったので

息子と一緒に迷路に挑戦

 

初めて夏のChristmasを体験するのに

「なぜ南半球と北半球は季節が逆なのか？」

さらっと説明できない私…🙄

子どもからの質問のおかげで

地球儀ひっぱり出して

「ここに太陽があったら、地球はこうやって傾いてるからーえーとえーと」

とグダグダの説明をしながら私自身も学んでおります🌏

 

絵本“Australian Animals”これ2冊目

(なぜなら1冊目ボロボロになったため)

これに載ってるthorny dragon

絵本ではこんな可愛いけど

本物検索してみたら…驚きのビジュアル

かっこよくて是非会いたいんだけど生息地が砂漠らしいので…無理かな🥹

 

計画段階から楽しめるのが旅行ね

 

ワタチ初めてのSydneyなので

何かいい情報あればください𓁉

皆にハロウィンパーティーとっても楽しんでもらえたので

クリスマスパーティーも気合い入れております𖠰

 

先日小学高学年クラスの男の子が

「サンタって親やろ」

とポツリ。

 

ここで全国の子ども達、保護者さん達にこちらを紹介

 

絵本にもなっていて

『世界一有名な社説』と言われている文章

 

サンタの存在を疑問に思った女の子が

新聞社に質問を投稿

それに対する答えが掲載された、ニューヨークサン新聞の社説(1897年！)

130年近くたった今でも読んで心がほっこり温まる

Dear Editor,

I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say that there is no Santa Claus. Papa says "If you see it in the Sun, it is so." Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus?

Virginia,

Your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except what they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. 

All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge. 

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to our life its highest beauty and joy. 

Alas! How dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus! It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished. 

Not believe in Santa Claus? You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your Papa to hire men to watch all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? 

Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. 

Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders that are unseen and unseeable in the world. 

You tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, or even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernatural beauty and glory beyond. 

Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else as real and abiding. 

No Santa Claus? Thank God he lives and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, maybe 10 times 10,000 years from now, he will continue to make glad the hearts of children.

そういえばBaby, Preschoolクラスのパパママに

「子どもの好きな物(例えば乗り物、動物、恐竜とか)と

関連させて英語を学べると楽しくていいですよね」

と私自身言っていたわ…！

 

そしてティーンの関心事、盛り上がる事といえば𓀀

 

もうこれよね、やっぱり。

 

残念ながら小学高学年〜中学生クラスの誰も

「Do you have a pen?」

「Yes, I do」

なんて形式ばった会話に興味ないんす😇

 

好きな子「Do you have a pen?」

私「Are you gonna write me a letter?💕Here you go✒️」

 

これだわ

学校では教えてくれない英会話やっちゃいましょ𓃵

Halloween party全部終わりましたー！👻

 

パーティーに向けて

いろいろ準備もしてきたけれど

やっぱり一番は子ども達が盛り上げてくれた

その圧倒的なパワー！！

本当に楽しいパーティーになりました𓀡♥︎

 

「母娘ともに今までで一番ハロウィンを楽しめて

とても感動しました。

素敵な日をプレゼントしていただき

ありがとうございました✨」

 

あるママからこんな嬉しいお言葉を頂戴しまして。

私はもう本当にover the moonよ
